Malacañang on Thursday clarified that there will be no further revamp in President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Cabinet.
The statement came after Sen. Rodante Marcoleta raised concerns about key government agencies being led by officials in an “acting” capacity.
Palace press officer Claire Castro said they asked the President, who confirmed, “there will no longer be any rigodon.”
She added that the names of acting officials will be submitted to the Commission on Appointments (CA) as soon as possible.
Among those serving in an acting capacity are Finance Secretary Frederick Go, Budget Secretary Rolando Toledo, and Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida.
Castro also addressed reports that Environment Secretary Raphael Lotilla may leave his post, noting that his records are still under review.
Lotilla replaced Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga during the Marcos Cabinet reshuffle in 2025, which was announced by then-Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
