No bomb found at QC Hall after threat; legal action eyed vs culprits

QUEZON CITY – Authorities found no bomb or suspicious object at the Quezon City Hall compound after conducting a security sweep following a bomb threat sent through the city government’s official Facebook page Thursday evening.

The city government said Friday that the Quezon City Police District, in coordination with the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, is investigating the source of the threat.

After receiving the message, the local government alerted the QCPD and its Safety and Security Cluster, which carried out sweeping, paneling and inspections throughout the City Hall compound and its buildings.

No suspicious object or security concern was found during the inspection, the city government said.

Officials vowed to identify and hold accountable those behind the threat, stressing that intimidation and bomb threats will not be tolerated.

The city government also reminded the public against making bomb jokes or using threats to intimidate others and urged anyone with information on the incident to report it to authorities or contact QC Helpline 122.
