CEBU CITY – Drivers and vehicle owners residing in the western side of Bohol can now file their license and registration application and renewal at the new extension office of the Land Transportation Office in Tubigon town.
Assistant Secretary Lawyer Vigor Mendoza II, chief of LTO, who led the launch of the new extension office on Friday, said the opening of new offices mirrored the government’s commitment to bring the agency’s services closer to the people.
Mendoza said vehicle owners will no longer depend on the regional office in Cebu for the processing of their registration.
“We’ll have our own new registration unit here in Bohol so dito pa lang makukuha na yung plaka (so, releasing of plates will be here in Bohol). The wait is much shorter,” Mendoza said in his speech.
The extension office in Tubigon is the 40th frontline office of LTO-7 and the fourth office on the island of Bohol.
The new extension office is equipped to handle various transactions, including the renewal of licenses, registrations, and others.
