DUMAGUETE CITY – Over 4,000 job vacancies, both local and overseas, will be available at the Labor Day mega-job fair organized by the Negros Oriental provincial government in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Alein Balsamo, manager of the province’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO), bared on Monday during a Kapihan forum that the mega-job fair will also host a one-stop shop featuring various government agencies providing essential public services.
“This special occasion transcends a mere date on the calendar; it serves as a potent reminder of the dedication, resilience, and unwavering hard work of the Filipino workforce,” Balsamo said. “Labor Day stands as a tribute to every single worker who contributes to the growth and overall development of our nation.”
Fourteen local employers, offering a total of 701 vacancies and five overseas agencies presenting 3,477 job opportunities, have confirmed their participation in the job fair. The event will be held at the Lamberto Macias Sports Center in this capital city on May 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On the same day, government agencies such as the National Bureau of Investigation, Department of Trade and Industry, Social Security System, and the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority will also be present to offer their services at the one-stop shop. (PNA)
