The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said it had gathered multiple leads on the possible location of Senator Ronald dela Rosa following his reported departure from the Senate building.

NBI Director Melvin Matibag said investigators were withholding specific details on the senator’s location as part of ongoing operational procedures.

Matibag said the bureau had received several tips and was pursuing possible leads, but declined to disclose further information to avoid speculation.

He made the statement during a public briefing on Tuesday, stressing that premature disclosure could compromise the investigation.

The NBI chief also said Senator Robin Padilla was being considered a key person of interest, noting that he was the last known individual with Dela Rosa before the senator went off the radar.

Authorities earlier said Padilla could help clarify the circumstances surrounding Dela Rosa’s departure from the Senate premises.

Dela Rosa was reported to have left the Senate in the early hours of Thursday amid developments linked to an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.

He is among individuals identified in connection with allegations tied to the previous administration’s anti-drug campaign, which is under scrutiny by international investigators.
