Rui Hachimura scored 23 points, while Anthony Davis contributed 22 points and 11 rebounds to help the Los Angeles Lakers snap a three-game losing streak with a 117-108 victory over the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
LeBron James also added 22 points and nine assists, while Austin Reaves chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Lakers, whose last two games were postponed due to wildfires in Los Angeles.
Tyler Herro led the Heat with 34 points, including a 7-for-12 performance from three-point range. Miami lost both games of its Los Angeles swing, following a loss to the Clippers on Monday. Haywood Highsmith and Nikola Jovic added 12 points each.
The Lakers overcame a 12-point halftime deficit, taking the lead at 88-87 with 10:47 remaining following a 15-4 run. Miami, now 3-3 on its West Coast road trip, was without Jimmy Butler, who is serving a seven-game suspension.
For the Lakers, Wednesday’s win ended a three-game skid, matching their longest losing streak of the season. The game was sealed when Jaxson Hayes stole the ball and assisted Reaves, who gave the Lakers a 90-87 lead they never relinquished.
The Heat will host the Denver Nuggets on Friday, while the Lakers will face the Brooklyn Nets.
