Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s romantic comedy My Love Will Make You Disappear has earned P40 million in local box office sales as of March 29, according to ABS-CBN Films.
The film made a strong debut, grossing P12 million on its first day—the highest opening day earnings for a local film this year. It also performed well internationally, earning $200,000 on its first day in North American theaters.
Directed by Chad Vidanes, the movie follows Sari, a woman who believes every man she loves disappears. She meets Jolo, a heartbroken man who sees her “curse” as a chance to escape his past.
This marks Chiu and Avelino’s first film together after starring in Linlang and the Philippine remake of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. The film also features Melai Cantiveros, Wilma Doesnt, Lovely Abella, and more.
My Love Will Make You Disappear is now showing in the Philippines, the U.S., and Canada.
