A 50-year-old street vendor from Muntinlupa City is starting a new chapter in his life after winning the ₱25,111,918.20 jackpot in the December 15, 2025 MegaLotto draw of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

The bettor, who has been playing lotto since the early years of PCSO’s number games, claimed his prize at the agency’s main office in Mandaluyong City. His winning numbers—10-21-23-30-01-15—were drawn from the birthdays of his family members, a routine he said he had followed faithfully for years.

For decades, the winner earned a modest living selling vegetables beside a public market in Muntinlupa. He recalled long days of work and moments when capital was scarce, sometimes forcing him to borrow money just to keep his small stall running. Despite the struggles, he remained patient and persistent, determined to provide for his family one day at a time. “Kahit papano’y nakakaraos naman po sa pang-araw-araw,” he shared.

In a moment that added quiet humor to his story, the vendor admitted he did not tell his wife about the jackpot right away. He said he simply told her he was stepping out to look for ₱500 to use as additional capital. “Hindi po niya alam na kukubra na pala ako ng lotto,” he said, smiling as he recalled the moment.

Now a newly minted millionaire, the vendor said his plans are grounded in practicality. His priority is to invest in a permanent market space to secure a more stable livelihood. He also intends to set aside savings and make sure his family’s daily needs are met, emphasizing that the money will be used carefully and responsibly.

Looking back, the winner expressed deep gratitude for the unexpected turn in his life, saying he never imagined that years of steady, hopeful betting would one day lead to such a life-changing reward.
