Globe strengthens green leadership with fresh Consumer Choice Awards sweep

Award badge for Globe, recognized as the Most Sustainable Mobile Network in the Philippines for 2026 by Standard Insights.

Globe has reinforced its position as a sustainability leader in the Philippine telecom sector after securing back-to-back wins as Most Sustainable Mobile Network and Most Active Mobile Network for the Environment at the 2026 Consumer Choice Awards of Standard Insights.

The latest recognition also included an award for Excellence in Digital Literacy and Safety, marking the fourth time Globe has been cited by the New York-based, research-driven awards program for its sustainability efforts. The honors reflect how environmental, social, and governance performance is becoming a bigger factor in how Filipino consumers choose their mobile network providers.

The results of the nationwide survey, which covered more than 1,000 Filipino mobile subscribers, underscored the growing importance of trust in the industry. According to the study, 70.5 percent of respondents depend on a single mobile plan for their connectivity needs, making reliability, responsible business practices, and customer value increasingly critical in shaping consumer preference.

“We endeavor to give more for our customers when they use the Globe network,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. “Globe considers its impact on the environment, how it protects people online, and how it contributes to national progress. We use the latest advanced technology to provide more convenience and better value for money for our customers.”

Globe said its sustainability agenda is anchored on science-based climate action, having become the first publicly listed Philippine company to secure validation and approval from the Science Based Targets initiative for both its near-term and net-zero greenhouse gas reduction targets. The company is also part of the UN Global Compact’s Climate Action Faster Forward initiative, further aligning its operations with global sustainability standards.

Beyond emissions reduction, Globe has expanded its environmental and social programs through initiatives such as its Trade-In Program, which supports circularity, as well as GoGIVE and other Globe of Good projects aimed at delivering broader community impact.

Apart from its sustainability-related wins, Globe also emerged strongly in several other categories in the Standard Insights survey, namely Best Mobile Network in the Philippines, Best Network Coverage, Best Internet Speed, Most Competitive and Affordable Prices and Fees, Most Reliable Network Signal, and Best Ads, Marketing Campaigns, and Brand Identity.

The strong showing suggests that for today’s consumers, connectivity is no longer judged on speed and signal alone. Increasingly, Filipinos are also rewarding brands that pair network performance with environmental action, digital safety, and a clearer sense of corporate responsibility.
