OPM classic “Torete” by Moonstar88 is turning 25, and the band is marking the milestone with a special anniversary concert on May 24 at Eton Centris Walk, Quezon City. The event is free and open to all ages.
Titled “25 Years of Torete,” the concert will feature Moonstar88 performing their iconic hits alongside the Metro Manila Concert Orchestra, giving a fresh orchestral twist to their well-loved tracks. Rising bands Hey June! and Better Days will open the show.
Released in 2000 as part of the band’s debut album “Popcorn,” “Torete” was originally sung by Moonstar88’s first vocalist, Acel Bisa, who later left the group to focus on family life.
Fans can expect a nostalgic and heartfelt night celebrating one of OPM’s most enduring anthems.
