Maynilad customers to face water rate increase, Manila Water to implement rollback

Starting next month, Maynilad customers can expect a slight increase in water rates, while Manila Water will implement a rollback. This announcement was made today by MWSS Regulatory Office chief regulator Patrick Ty, following the approval of the Foreign Currency Differential Adjustments (FCDA) or tariff adjustments for the two water concessionaires.

For the third quarter of 2025, Maynilad customers will see an adjustment of P0.01 for regular residential users consuming 10 cubic meters per month, an increase of P0.05 for those consuming 20 cubic meters, and P0.11 for customers with a consumption of 30 cubic meters.

In contrast, Manila Water customers will benefit from a reduction of P0.55 for regular residential users consuming 10 cubic meters, P1.20 for those consuming 20 cubic meters, and P2.45 for customers with a consumption of 30 cubic meters.

The MWSS Regulatory Office reiterated that customers in the low-income bracket and those enrolled in the enhanced lifeline program of Maynilad and Manila Water will not be affected by these adjustments.
