The Light Rail Transit Authority will shorten LRT-2 operations on July 25 to give way to repair works between V. Mapa and J. Ruiz stations.
Under the adjusted schedule, the first trip from both Antipolo and Recto stations will leave at 5 a.m.
The last trip from Antipolo will depart at 7:30 p.m., while the last trip from Recto will leave at 8 p.m.
The LRTA said the temporary schedule would allow workers to replace the rigid frognose on the mainline track between the two stations.
The rigid frognose is a railway component that helps trains move smoothly when shifting from one track to another.
During regular operations, LRT-2 stations open at 4:50 a.m., while closing schedules vary depending on the station.
To assist affected passengers, the LRTA said shuttle vans would be deployed during the shortened operating hours.
The agency said it would also coordinate with the Metro Manila Development Authority, Philippine Ports Authority, Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine National Railways for alternative transport options. Normal LRT-2 operations are set to resume on July 26 at 5 a.m.
