Former Vice President Leni Robredo was officially proclaimed mayor of Naga City on Tuesday after securing a landslide victory against her opponents Toots De Quiros, Louie Ortega, and Ganda Abrazado.
Robredo, who is committed to strengthening mechanisms for good and transparent governance in Naga, follows in the footsteps of her late husband, Jesse Robredo, who served as the city’s long-time mayor.
In addition to her new role, Robredo continues to lead the Angat Buhay foundation, which has chapters across the Philippines and in the US.
