State-owned Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank) has unveiled a new financing initiative designed to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) scale their operations through accessible credit, digital tools, and business training.
The Innovative Financing Thrust Towards Inclusive National Growth thru Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises—aptly named the LIFTING MSMEs Lending Program—provides tailored loan packages for every stage of business growth, from start-ups to expanding enterprises.
Three-tier support for MSME growth
Under the program, LandBank offers three specialized loan products:
• Start-Up Loan (₱100,000 to ₱500,000): Ideal for new businesses with less than a year of operations, this entry-level financing comes with minimal collateral requirements, low introductory rates, and free financial literacy training.
• Step-Up Loan (₱500,000 to ₱5 million): Designed for micro and small businesses operating for at least a year, this package includes rate discounts, free business training, and access to a LandBank point-of-sale terminal—encouraging the digitalization of local enterprises.
• Level-Up Loan (up to ₱50 million): Targeted at established small and medium enterprises with over three years in business, this financing option supports larger expansion, equipment upgrades, and export ventures, while providing lower interest rates and a corporate credit card for better cash flow management.
LandBank will also strengthen MSME support networks by offering rediscounting lines to rural banks, credit cooperatives, and microfinance institutions. These partner lenders can borrow up to 85 percent of their outstanding MSME receivables, enabling them to extend more loans to local entrepreneurs.
“MSMEs are the backbone of the Philippine economy, making up 99.6 percent of business establishments and employing 65 percent of the workforce,” said LandBank President and CEO Lynette Ortiz. “Every loan extended to an MSME creates a ripple effect—sustaining jobs, uplifting families, and strengthening communities. Through the LIFTING MSMEs Program, LandBank is fueling this multiplier effect to accelerate inclusive and sustainable growth nationwide.”
Interested borrowers can conveniently apply through the LandBank Business Loan Application Portal, a 24/7 digital platform that allows users to complete application forms, upload requirements, and track loan status online. The portal is accessible via www.landbank.com.
Through this initiative, LandBank continues to strengthen its commitment to empowering Filipino entrepreneurs—lifting small businesses toward national progress and financial resilience.
