After three years of being together, Klea Pineda and Katrice Kierulf have officially parted ways — a decision the actress revealed with raw emotion during her heartfelt interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda last Friday, July 18, 2025.
Fighting back tears, the StarStruck Season 6 Ultimate Female Survivor shared that while their love remained real, the relationship no longer served them both. “We reached a point where we were no longer helping each other grow,” Klea said. “It felt like we were pulling each other down instead of lifting each other up.”
A mutual goodbye, not a bitter end
Klea emphasized that their breakup was a mutual decision. Both she and Katrice had come to realize they needed to focus on their individual growth and priorities. “She wanted to put herself first, and I wanted to choose myself, too,” Klea explained. “It wasn’t out of anger or betrayal—it was a choice to heal.”
Despite the pain, Klea reflected on their years together with gratitude. “I have no regrets. We fought for each other, we loved each other deeply,” she said. “I learned so much about love, life, and myself through Kat. And I know she did too.”
Healing on separate paths
Klea also revealed that she informed Katrice in advance about the interview, making sure to respect her ex’s healing process. “I told her I would be speaking about our breakup on the show. I didn’t want her to be blindsided,” she said. “We’re okay after the breakup. There’s no bitterness. Just heaviness… because it was a beautiful three years.”
The actress admitted she’s intentionally distancing herself from Katrice to give both of them space to heal. “This isn’t easy. Letting go of something so good never is,” Klea said. “But I don’t want to forget what we had. It was beautiful.”
Addressing the cheating rumors
Following their split, speculation quickly spread online that infidelity may have caused the breakup, fueled by cryptic posts from Katrice’s social media. Klea, however, set the record straight.
“My sister brought those posts to my attention. Since we unfollowed each other, I haven’t seen anything from her,” she said. “But that’s her space, and I won’t judge what she shares.”
When asked directly if cheating played a part in their breakup, Klea firmly denied it. “Absolutely not. I’ve always valued loyalty, and I would never hurt Kat that way,” she said. “And I don’t believe Kat would ever do that to me either. That’s just not who she is.”
A love that was, and always will be
Klea made it clear that, despite their separation, the love she had for Katrice is something she cherishes deeply. “What we had was real. And just because it ended, doesn’t mean it wasn’t meaningful,” she said.
