Rising global pop act KATSEYE announced on Saturday that member Manon will be taking a temporary break from group activities, a move the group described as a collective decision rooted in care and long-term wellbeing.
In a message shared with fans on Weverse, KATSEYE said the decision followed open and thoughtful discussions within the group. Manon’s hiatus, they explained, will allow her to focus on her health, with the full support of her bandmates behind her.
The group emphasized that the pause is not a departure, but a moment of rest. While Manon steps back, KATSEYE said it will proceed with previously scheduled activities and continue engaging with fans, expressing optimism about reuniting as a complete group when the time is right.

The announcement comes during a milestone period for the group. Earlier this year, KATSEYE earned their first Grammy nominations, landing nods for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the single Gabriela at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

Formed by members Sophia, Lara, Daniela, Yoonchae, Megan, and Manon, KATSEYE debuted in June 2024 with the single Debut before breaking through internationally with Touch the following month. Their first EP, SIS (Soft Is Strong), released in August 2024, further cemented their global appeal and led to an Asia tour that included stops in South Korea, the Philippines, and Japan.
