From sweet screen darling to streetwise survivor, Jillian Ward takes on a bold transformation as she officially joins the cast of GMA Prime’s action-drama series, Mga Batang Riles.

The announcement was confirmed through a segment by Lhar Santiago on 24 Oras, revealing that Jillian has already stepped onto the gritty set of the series and begun immersing herself in the world of the Riles Boys—played by Miguel Tanfelix, Kokoy De Santos, Raheel Bhyria, and Anton Vinzon.

Taking on a role far removed from her previous polished characters, Jillian shared her excitement about the creative shift, “This is unlike anything I’ve done before. It’s raw, intense, and grounded in reality. I’m lucky to be surrounded by such talented actors—I know I’m going to learn so much,” she said.

“With this role, I want to take risks, challenge myself, and explore a completely new side of my craft. I’m officially one of the kids from the riles now.”

The ensemble, known for their intense chemistry and urban grit, welcomed her enthusiastically.

“We grew up in this industry together, but this is the first time we’re working side by side,” said Miguel Tanfelix. “It will be exciting to finally share scenes with her.”

Kokoy De Santos echoed the sentiment, “She brings a different energy. I’m looking forward to learning from her, and I hope she picks up something from us, too.”

For Raheel Bhyria, the project marks a reunion with Jillian following their stint on Abot-Kamay na Pangarap.

“I missed working with her, to be honest. There’s a certain spark when we’re on set together,” he shared, smiling as his castmates teased him about their past on-screen chemistry—a fan-favorite pairing that had once trended online.

“My heart’s racing a little,” Raheel joked. “I’m just thrilled—for me and for the entire team.”

Jillian’s career has steadily evolved, with notable roles in My Ilonggo Girl and Abot-Kamay na Pangarap, but this marks a significant leap into a more mature, ensemble-driven narrative.

Set against the backdrop of Manila’s railroad communities, Mga Batang Riles delves into the challenges, loyalties, and dreams of youth born into hardship, offering viewers a raw and emotional journey through survival and brotherhood.

Catch Jillian Ward and the rest of the Riles crew every weekday at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Prime.
