MANILA – The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, the Bicol Region, Romblon and Palawan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.

Possible flash floods or landslides are likely in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA warned in its 4 a.m. bulletin.

PAGASA also said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, which may also trigger flash floods or landslides during severe weather conditions.

As of 2 a.m., no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation, it added.

Meanwhile, moderate winds from the northeast will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon, with coastal waters ranging from moderate to rough at 1.5 to 2.5 meters.

Central Luzon, the eastern section of Southern Luzon, and the rest of Northern Luzon will experience light to moderate winds from the southeast to northeast, with slight to moderate seas of 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds from the northeast to northwest, while the rest of the country will experience winds from the southwest to northwest. Coastal waters in these areas will remain slight to moderate at 0.6 to 2.1 meters.
