Three Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in two Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to witnesses and medical sources.
The attacks occurred a day after US President Donald Trump and the Board of Peace announced an agreement to move forward with the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire.
The board said Hamas had accepted a detailed roadmap for the ceasefire, while Israel had not immediately responded to the announcement.
In Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, an Israeli drone struck the courtyard of a house, killing one person and wounding several others, witnesses and medical sources said.
Earlier, another drone strike hit a group of civilians in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City, leaving two Palestinians dead, according to the same sources.
The casualties from both attacks were taken to a hospital for treatment and identification.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said alleged Israeli ceasefire violations since last October had killed 1,222 Palestinians and injured 4,053 others.
The ministry also said Israel’s military campaign, which began in October 2023, had killed more than 73,000 Palestinians, injured over 174,000 and destroyed about 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
