A century-strong and still leading the way.

Insular Life (InLife), the country’s largest Filipino life insurer, has once again earned the prestigious Domestic Life Insurer of the Year – Philippines title at the Insurance Asia Awards 2024 held in Singapore—marking its ninth win of this coveted recognition.

This milestone underscores InLife’s enduring mission of empowering Filipinos through inclusive, innovative, and purpose-driven financial solutions—a legacy it has upheld for more than 114 years.

“InLife’s legacy is built on trust,” said Executive Chairperson Nina D. Aguas. “This award reaffirms our commitment to nurturing communities and helping Filipinos live A Lifetime for Good. We dedicate this win to our people, our policyholders, and our partners—who inspire everything we do.”

Innovation that Empowers
In 2024, InLife doubled down on digital transformation and customer-centric innovations. It expanded its reach through InLife Convo, an online community focused on financial literacy, and InLife Thrive, a digital hub for corporate clients. Specialized programs like InLife Sheroes, Amorsolo Circle, and offerings for OFWs and emerging markets provided tailored financial solutions to meet diverse needs.

To equip its financial advisors, InLife rolled out cutting-edge marketing toolkits and launched a generative AI chatbot via its Super Compass App—bringing real-time smart support to the field. Internally, the company continued to champion holistic employee well-being and instilled a strong sense of company pride.

These efforts paid off: InLife secured the number one spot in Customer Experience among Philippine life insurers in the KPMG Global Customer Experience Excellence Research 2024, topping key pillars such as empathy, personalization, time and effort, and resolution.

Building the future
The insurer also strengthened its digital backbone through upgrades to its mobile apps, policy administration systems, and cloud infrastructure, while launching a new enterprise resource planning system to streamline operations. Sustainability wasn’t left behind—InLife pushed its ESG agenda forward through green building certifications in its Muntinlupa, Makati, and Cebu offices, impactful community programs under the InLife Foundation, and a 4-Arrow rating in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard.

In a bold move, InLife launched Retire Assure—the country’s first true retirement product—based on its own proprietary research. It also cemented its market leadership with the full acquisition of Generali Life Assurance Philippines.

“As we celebrate our ninth win, our Filipino heart remains at the core of everything we do,” Aguas said. “We will continue to serve with integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of belonging—for generations to come.”
