A suspected high-value drug personality was arrested in Talisay City, Cebu on April 28, 2026 after a buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of about Php 7.48 million worth of suspected shabu.
Police said the operation was conducted in the evening with coordination among units from Police Regional Office 7, intelligence and drug enforcement teams, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Bay,” 26, was arrested after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected illegal drugs to an undercover operative.
Authorities said follow-up search and on-site inventory led to the recovery of additional sachets believed to contain shabu, along with marked money and other items used in the transaction.
Mobile phones and other paraphernalia were also confiscated and documented at the scene in the presence of required witnesses, police said.
According to PNP, about 1.1 kilograms of suspected shabu were recovered during the operation.
The suspect is now under police custody for charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
