HUAWEI made waves at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025) in Barcelona, Spain, which kicked off on March 3 by unveiling its groundbreaking trifold smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate XT.
The global tech giant also showcased an impressive lineup of high-end, fashion-forward, and innovative flagship products.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore dedicated experience zones featuring foldables, health and fitness innovations, photography advancements, and creative tools. These interactive spaces allowed visitors to witness firsthand how HUAWEI’s latest technological innovations seamlessly integrate into daily life.

Revolutionizing smartphones with the HUAWEI Mate XT
The event’s highlight was the HUAWEI Mate XT, the world’s first commercial tri-fold smartphone. This cutting-edge device boasts proprietary hinge and screen technology, enabling it to fold inward on one hinge and outward on another.
Additionally, its camera system features a 10-size adjustable physical aperture for enhanced photography capabilities.
A large screen utilizing naked-eye 3D effects at the HUAWEI Consumer BG booth highlighted the tri-fold phone’s capabilities. Meanwhile, the Intelligence Scenario experience zone allowed attendees to explore advanced features such as Multi-Exposure and AI Retouch.
A special showcase for the HUAWEI Mate X6 demonstrated the innovative materials used in its construction. Visitors even participated in a hands-on experiment, cutting through ice with a graphene sheet to experience the material’s impressive thermal conductivity.

Elevating health monitoring with HUAWEI wearables
Smart wearables continue to be a key driver of HUAWEI’s growth, leading the industry in wearable shipments for the first three quarters of 2024. At MWC 2025, HUAWEI spotlighted its revolutionary TruSense System, an advanced health monitoring solution beyond data tracking to provide in-depth health analysis.
To demonstrate its capabilities, HUAWEI created real-life sports and health scenarios. In the cycling experience area, participants tested the TruSense System’s real-time heart rate tracking by comparing data from professional sports monitors with readings from the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5.
Meanwhile, the Health Glance zone featured a live demonstration of the HUAWEI WATCH D2, the first smart wearable equipped with ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
HUAWEI also showcased an extensive lineup of premium smart wearables that blend sophisticated design with state-of-the-art features, providing users an elevated on-wrist experience.

Unleashing creativity with HUAWEI MatePad and GoPaint
HUAWEI’s commitment to innovation extends to the creative industry, as seen with the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025 introduction. This tablet features the industry’s leading flexible OLED PaperMatte Display, which delivers stunning visuals while minimizing glare. It also offers a pen-on-paper experience for artists and note-takers alike.
Paired with the third-generation HUAWEI M-Pencil, which boasts 10,000 levels of pressure sensitivity, the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025 unlocks the full potential of GoPaint—a professional-grade digital painting software powered by the FangTian Painting Engine 2.0.
At MWC 2025, the GoPaint experience zone attracted art enthusiasts eager to witness breathtaking works created by global artists using HUAWEI’s exclusive software.
Beyond creativity, the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025 also enhances productivity with a PC-level WPS Office suite with a laptop-like interface. The tablet supports flexible window zooming, smooth keyboard-and-mouse interactions, and seamless multitasking through the Live-Multitask feature, making it an excellent tool for professionals on the go.
