The Secretariat of the House of Representatives finalized the agenda for the Gender and Development – Focal Point System (GAD-FPS), which aims to advance gender equality and address gender-related issues.
The agenda includes details of a three-day workshop that began on Tuesday.
GAD consultant Raymond Jay Mazo is leading the workshop, guiding participants in developing the House’s GAD vision and mission, as well as formulating its GAD goals. Participants are also identifying key gender challenges within their teams, which is helping to shape strategies for addressing them.
On the second day of the seminar, the focus has shifted to creating specific GAD goals. This is complemented by a hands-on workshop where participants are collaborating to develop a GAD strategic plan. They are working together to design practical strategies aimed at addressing the identified challenges and promoting inclusivity in policy and program development.
The teams will conclude the workshop with presentations and critiques of the GAD plan outputs. This session will provide an opportunity to review and refine the strategies, ensuring they align with the broader objectives of the GAD agenda.
