While Women’s Month may have wrapped up in March, HAVAS Ortega continues to stand firmly behind the belief that women’s empowerment should be a constant, year-round effort. This commitment took center stage in their transformative initiative: the HAVASister (Have-A-Sister) program—a platform designed to nurture solidarity, inclusion, and meaningful support for women both within the agency and in the wider community.
More than just a moment in time, HAVASister brought together employees, partners, and industry thought leaders through a vibrant lineup of inclusive events aimed at sparking lasting dialogue and action. Notably, the program also encouraged male colleagues to participate as allies—“brothers” in the movement—fostering a spirit of unity while strengthening the support network for women across the organization.
Five thought-provoking sessions, one unified goal
The program featured five curated sessions tackling key issues that affect women today, each one shedding light on challenges and inspiring change:
- Breaking Glass Ceilings: From Telephone Operator to CEO
- The series opened with an empowering talk by Rosario Cajucom-Bradbury, who shared her journey from a telephone operator to becoming a CEO. Her story highlighted the value of resilience, mentorship, and determination in breaking through gender barriers in the workplace.
- Queens of Console
- In collaboration with Ampverse, a leading esports and gaming media group, this interactive session celebrated women in gaming. Female gamers engaged in discussions and live challenges, redefining gaming as an inclusive space where women are seen, heard, and celebrated.
- Empowered Wellness: Navigating PCOS and Reproductive Health Challenges
- Partnering with Lockton, this session delivered vital information on reproductive health, focusing on PCOS. It empowered women with the knowledge and tools they need to take control of their well-being and advocate for their health.
- Understanding Neurodiversity Diagnoses in the Case of Women
- Co-hosted with Graymatters, this conversation explored how neurodiverse conditions manifest differently in women and why inclusive mental health practices are essential. The session emphasized creating supportive workplaces that recognize and adapt to these unique experiences.
- Vaccines for Every Life, for Every Stage of Life
- With insights from Kindred, a women’s health organization, this session highlighted the importance of HPV vaccinations and preventative care for people of all genders and ages, encouraging proactive health choices for long-term wellness.

A lasting commitment to empowerment
“We launched the HAVASister program with the vision of creating a platform that empowers, educates, and uplifts women—both inside and outside our organization,” said Nina Estenzo, Business Director at HAVAS Ortega. “While the program aligned with Women’s Month, the issues we tackled and the connections we built are enduring. Our commitment to fostering inclusive spaces and amplifying women’s voices goes beyond a single month—it’s something we carry forward every day.”
The HAVASister initiative is a shining example of HAVAS Ortega’s dedication to gender equity and community building. More than a campaign, it marks the beginning of a sustained journey to create a workplace where empowerment, inclusion, and respect are woven into the culture.
