Hanabishi Appliances brought its commitment to community upliftment beyond Filipino homes as it donated 3,000 electric fans to Meycauayan City, Bulacan, providing much-needed comfort to schools and public institutions across the city.
The donation, which included a mix of stand fans and desk fans, aims to help create cooler, more conducive learning and working environments for students, teachers, and frontline staff.
Cherish Ong-Chua, VP for Finance and Marketing of Hanabishi Philippines, said the initiative reflects the company’s belief in supporting the next generation. “Supporting education is one of the most impactful ways we can contribute to the future of our country. With this initiative, we hope to create a more comfortable and conducive environment for learning,” she shared.

The ceremonial turnover was held on August 14, 2025, at the Meycauayan City Hall. Meycauayan Mayor Henry Villarica formally received the donation, joined by key representatives from DepEd, the Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan (PCCM), DSWD, and the General Services Office. The city government will distribute the fans to schools and institutions in communities where they are needed most.
According to Ong-Chua, the effort highlights the power of collaboration. “At Hanabishi, we recognize that true community development is rooted in partnership. By working closely with local government units and agencies such as DepEd, PCCM, and DSWD, we hope to promote the spirit of bayanihan and uplift communities.”
Hanabishi’s donation forms part of its long-running commitment to corporate social responsibility. The brand has a history of community-centered projects, including livelihood starter kits for women running small karinderyas under its Kapartner sa Kabuhayan program, as well as past collaborations with the Kapuso Foundation and Eat Bulaga for nationwide community support.
Through this latest initiative, Hanabishi reinforces its legacy not only as a trusted Filipino appliance brand but also as a company dedicated to helping build better, more comfortable communities. “These efforts are our way of giving back to the community that has supported us through the years,” Ong-Chua added.
