Globe partners with First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) to provide reliable, high-speed connectivity to over 150 locators, strengthening digital infrastructure across the industrial park.

Globe Telecom has sealed a strategic partnership with First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), Inc. to deliver high-speed, secure, and reliable fiber internet connectivity across one of the country’s largest industrial hubs in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, reinforcing the park’s digital backbone and supporting the evolving needs of global manufacturers.

Under a newly signed memorandum of agreement, Globe will provide enterprise-grade fiber connectivity to more than 150 FPIP locators and over 80,000 employees, enabling faster operations, real-time collaboration, and data-driven decision-making across the park.

FPIP hosts a wide range of global and industry-leading companies, including major players in consumer electronics, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, and consumer goods manufacturing.

The partnership was formalized during a contract signing attended by executives from both organizations, led by FPIP officials Rodel G. Del Valle, Jason de las Alas, and Yutaro Kuryu, alongside Globe representatives Raymond Catane and Michelle Y. Ora.

“This partnership strengthens Globe’s commitment to delivering world-class, fiber-fast connectivity to businesses across the Philippines,” said Michelle Y. Ora, Globe’s Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Program. “We are proud to empower FPIP locators with seamless, secure, and high-speed digital tools that enable innovation, enhance productivity, and help them compete confidently in the global market.”

A key enabler of the collaboration is FPIP’s shared dark fiber facility, established in 2023, which allows Globe to roll out services efficiently while maximizing existing infrastructure. The setup accelerates deployment, improves cost efficiency, and gives locators greater flexibility and choice in meeting their connectivity requirements.

FPIP Assistant Vice President for the Park and Utilities Group Jason de las Alas said the partnership reflects the park’s continued push to future-proof its infrastructure. “High-quality and secure internet connectivity is no longer optional in today’s fast-paced, data-driven environment,” he said. “Our locators have diverse and growing digital needs, and this collaboration ensures FPIP can support those demands while delivering an elevated experience across the park.”

Established in 1996, FPIP is a PEZA-registered special economic zone developed by First Philippine Holdings and Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation. Spanning nearly 600 hectares, it has grown into a premier manufacturing destination for both multinational and local companies.

The Globe–FPIP collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening the industrial park’s digital ecosystem, underscoring a shared vision of enabling sustainable growth and positioning Batangas as a globally competitive manufacturing and innovation hub powered by seamless, world-class connectivity.
