Pixar Animation Studios released an all-new look teaser of Toy Story 5 showing a tablet looking at Jessie, Buzz, and Jessie’s horse, Bullseye.
The fifth film of the animated series will be written and directed by Andrew Stanton, who co-wrote the first four films.
The story of the film will emphasize the challenge of emerging electronics as it takes over the children’s obsession with gadgets.
“In Toy Story 5, the toy’s jobs get harder where the toy crew gets head-to-head with what kids are obsessed with today, electronics,” said Stanton at Disney D23 2024, in California.
In 2024, Pixar Animation Studios first released a teaser in a Facebook post, “Get excited for their next chapter as Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the gang all return for #ToyStory5, coming to theaters Summer 2026.”
