Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT 3) and Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT 2) offer free rides to passengers on June 12 in celebration of 127th Philippine Independence Day.
In a statement, MRT-3 said it was in accordance with President Marcos Jr. ‘s initiative to ease transportation costs and to promote appreciation for the national event.
“Ito ay alinsunod sa utos ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na maghandog ng mga inisyatibong naglalayong mapagaan ang gastusin sa transportasyon at mapalaganap ang pagpapahalaga sa mahahalagang pambansang okasyon.”
The free rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in all of the MRT-3 and LRT-2 train stations on June 12.
