The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has prolonged restrictions on aircraft operations in areas surrounding Mayon Volcano following renewed volcanic activity.
The advisory was issued after the volcano released lava earlier Tuesday, with authorities maintaining Alert Level 3.
In a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), Caap said flights are prohibited from flying close to the volcano until 8:03 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14.
Aviation operators were reminded to steer clear of volcanic summits and to regularly check official advisories and updates.
The flight limitation was first imposed in December after state volcanologists recorded lava flow activity at Mayon.
At the time, the volcano was under a lower alert status, which was later raised as unrest persisted.
Officials said the continued restrictions are meant to reduce risks to aircraft amid ongoing volcanic hazards.
