Equinix, Inc. has officially launched its operations in the Philippines, unveiling Equinix Fabric, including Fabric Cloud Router and Equinix Internet Access®. This powerful interconnection service allows Philippine businesses to directly connect to over 10,000 global network providers, cloud platforms, AI services, and enterprises through a secure, high-speed private network.
The launch follows Equinix’s acquisition of three data centers in Metro Manila—MN1, MN2, and MN3—signifying a strong vote of confidence in the Philippines’ rapidly expanding digital economy. These high-performance facilities collectively provide over 1,000 cabinets of capacity, supporting latency-sensitive workloads while enabling seamless hybrid multicloud connectivity for enterprises of all sizes.
With Southeast Asia emerging as a global digital hub, the Philippines is positioned as one of the region’s fastest-growing markets. The nation’s digital economy is projected to grow between 15% and 20% in 2025, driven by robust e-commerce activity, improved infrastructure, and the accelerating adoption of AI technologies.
Through Equinix Fabric, local enterprises—including those in finance, telecommunications, and digital services—can now interconnect their global physical and virtual infrastructures with ease. This enables businesses to scale securely, pursue AI initiatives, and extend their reach internationally without the complexities of traditional network setups.

At the same time, international organizations expanding into the Philippines can rapidly deploy digital infrastructure and gain access to local markets through Equinix’s interconnected ecosystem. With direct on-ramps to major hyperscalers and AI partners, businesses can dynamically scale their bandwidth to match evolving workloads and ensure uninterrupted performance across borders.
Secretary Frederick D. Go, Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, welcomed Equinix’s expansion, saying, “The entry of Equinix and its advanced digital infrastructure reflects growing global confidence in the Philippines’ digital economy. This strengthens our position as a key regional data hub and supports our goal of attracting innovation-driven investments that create more opportunities for Filipinos.”
Echoing this sentiment, Secretary Henry Aguda of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) added, “Equinix’s presence complements our digital acceleration agenda by empowering businesses, government, and communities to participate fully in the global digital economy.”
