Epson Philippines proudly celebrated the 16th edition of Fusion, its annual media thanksgiving event, held from May 28 to 30 at the picturesque Misibis Bay Resort in Albay.
This year’s gathering emphasized the importance of forging meaningful partnerships that not only advance responsible innovation and sustainability but also foster a spirit of camaraderie and fellowship among participants.
Masako Kusama, president and director of Epson Philippines Corporation, kicked off the event by introducing the theme of EcoSynergy. “EcoSynergy reflects the idea that real progress happens when innovation moves in step with shared purpose,” she stated. “It’s how Epson brings people, technology, and sustainability together.”
This sentiment set the tone for a gathering designed to build connections and strengthen collaborations within the industry.
Kusama elaborated on Epson’s commitment to principles that guide their operations every day. “Engineered for Good” shapes how the company designs and builds its products, focusing on reducing energy consumption, extending product life, and selecting environmentally safe materials. This approach reflects Epson’s overarching vision of being a responsible corporate citizen.
Throughout Fusion 16, participants engaged in various fun and interactive activities designed to foster camaraderie. The event showcased Epson’s dedication to creating a sense of community among media partners and company leaders.
Through team challenges that tested communication, creativity, and collaboration, attendees not only shared ideas but also formed lasting friendships. This atmosphere of fellowship was crucial in achieving the event’s goal of fostering deeper connections aligned with Epson’s sustainability initiatives.
Noelle Gonzalez, marketing division head, highlighted Epson’s continued market leadership and the vital partnerships being cultivated through open dialogue. She underscored Epson’s commitment to combating counterfeit inks and announced new value-added services designed to enhance customer experiences.
Russer Cabrera, senior manager for product marketing, shared innovative updates that empower businesses to operate more sustainably. Sustainability was a core focus at Fusion 16, with EJ Sulit, Epson’s Sustainability Champion, unveiling the company’s ambitious environmental roadmap, which aims for carbon-negative operations by 2050. Highlights included the ICLEAN Project in Monreal, Ticao Island, in partnership with WWF-Philippines.
This initiative not only supports waste management but also produces eco-bricks crafted from collected plastics, demonstrating how localized, community-driven efforts can effect meaningful change.
Ed Bonoan, sales division head, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the media for their unwavering support throughout the years. “We’re thankful for your continued partnership in sharing our stories,” he remarked, emphasizing the importance of collaboration.
