Baguio City — With relentless rains pounding the Summer Capital due to Severe Tropical Storm “Crising” and the intensified Southwest Monsoon, emergency responders led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong have been working non-stop to ensure the safety of residents and restore order in the city.

Crews from the City Engineering Office, alongside teams from local telecommunications companies and the power distributor, wasted no time clearing roads and critical areas of debris, fallen trees, and garbage. So far, they have successfully cleared City Camp Lagoon, Magsaysay Private Road, and UP Drive with support from the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) Forestry Division. CEPMO also spearheaded clearing operations around the city’s sanitary plant. Other agencies contributed to the cleanup of PhilAm Road corner Marcos Highway, one of the city’s most flood-prone junctions.
