Hot and humid conditions persisted across the Philippines on Wednesday as easterlies continued to affect much of the country, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said these winds, coming from the Pacific Ocean, brought warm and moist air that raised temperatures, especially from midday to afternoon.

The weather agency said Metro Manila recorded temperatures ranging from 25°C to 35°C.

Several key cities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao saw daytime temperatures mostly within the 33°C to 34°C range, based on the forecast.

They added that other areas also experienced elevated temperatures, including Tuguegarao City, which reached up to 36°C, while cooler conditions were observed in Baguio City.

Despite generally fair weather, isolated rain showers or thunderstorms were still possible in the afternoon or evening in different parts of the country.

Pagasa advised the public to limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours and to stay hydrated, while also seeking shade when possible to avoid heat related risks.

Meanwhile, no gale warning had been raised over any seaboard, and no tropical cyclone or low pressure area was being monitored within or near the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
