Easterlies continued to prevail over most parts of the country on Wednesday, influencing the day’s weather conditions.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said this weather system brought partly cloudy to cloudy skies in many areas.
Generally fair weather was still expected nationwide despite the presence of the easterlies.
State meteorologists noted that conditions would remain warm and humid, especially in the afternoon.
The weather bureau said the country would still experience fair weather, although heat and humidity would be more noticeable later in the day.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country were forecast to see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
These localized thunderstorms were attributed to the continued influence of the easterlies.
The bureau added that the northeast monsoon currently had no effect on any part of the country but may begin affecting portions of Luzon by the weekend, while no low pressure area was being monitored within or near the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
