Twelve civilians, including two children, were injured after drones struck Russia’s Belgorod region overnight, local officials said Monday.
Regional authorities said one woman suffered a shrapnel wound near her temple and received treatment at the scene.
The other injured residents were brought to hospitals, where they continued to receive medical care.
The attack triggered fires in several apartments and more than 15 vehicles parked in Belgorod city.
Firefighters later brought the blazes under control, according to the region’s operational headquarters.
A private home was partially destroyed, while several apartment buildings also sustained damage.
Officials said emergency teams were still assessing the affected areas and verifying reports of additional destruction.
Ukrainian authorities had not immediately responded to the Russian account of the attack.
