DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon urges staff to help clean up agency and restore public trust

New Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon called on employees to help him reform the agency during his first flag-raising ceremony at the DPWH Central Office on September 8.

“Let us not allow a few bad eggs to destroy this entire institution and to destroy the country,” Dizon said. He urged workers to assist in removing corrupt individuals from the agency, saying, “Tulungan niyo po ako. Tulungan natin ang Presidente. Nakita naman po natin na totoong may mga masasamang tao dito. Tulungan niyo po akong tanggalin sila dito.”

Despite the challenges, Secretary Dizon expressed confidence in the majority of DPWH employees, describing them as “good, honest, hardworking, and loyal government workers.” He emphasized the need to “save DPWH” and called on staff to support President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to hold those involved in anomalies accountable and restore public trust.
