DPWH resumes weekend road repair works around Metro ManilaThe Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to resume its weekend road reblocking operations in Metro Manila, starting Friday night.

According to a DPWH advisory issued Friday, the repair activities will commence at 11 p.m. and continue until 5 a.m. on Monday, affecting key areas in Valenzuela and Taguig cities.

In Valenzuela City, targeted sections include:

  • Northbound: from the end of Malinta Bridge to Gov. I. Santiago Street
  • Southbound: from BDO Dalandan to Wilcon Dalandan
  • Northbound: from First Metro Bus Express Transport to NFA/ACA Road
  • Northbound: from Flicker Tech to San Andres II Street

Meanwhile, in Taguig City, repairs will focus on the northbound side of C5 Road, particularly the stretch from East Service Road to the SLEx tollgate.

The DPWH advised motorists to use alternative routes or other open lanes during the maintenance period, as selected lanes will be partially closed to accommodate the repair works.

The agency also assured the public that once the reblocking is finished, the affected lanes will be reopened immediately to ease traffic flow. The National Capital Region District Engineering Offices will oversee the implementation of these works.
