In a major move to boost the country’s digital infrastructure, Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has partnered with global tech leader Nokia to deploy cutting-edge AI-driven technology in its next-generation data centers across the Philippines.

At the heart of the collaboration is Nokia’s Data Center Fabric solution — an advanced switching platform that blends hardware and software to deliver high-speed, scalable, and intelligent connectivity. The integration will allow Converge to modernize its data center networks, improve performance, and embrace automation for greater operational efficiency.

“With more businesses and users turning to AI applications, our infrastructure must evolve,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, Converge CEO and Co-Founder. “AI workloads and high-performance computing are becoming essential to our operations, so we’re designing our networks with extreme scalability and reliability in mind.”

The transformation will be powered by Nokia’s 7220 Interconnect Router (IXR), which runs on the SR-Linux network operating system and Event-Driven Automation (EDA) platform. This powerful combination will simplify network management, reduce energy consumption, and enhance performance — all while keeping the system ready for sovereign cloud compliance.

“Partnering with Nokia ensures we stay ahead in the game. Their AI and automation capabilities will help us deliver a consistent, top-tier experience to our customers, while future-proofing our infrastructure against growing digital demands,” said Paulo Martin Santos, Chief Network Transformation Officer at Converge.

The move not only strengthens Converge’s position as a tech-forward provider but also sets the stage for the Philippines to become a more competitive player in the booming data center industry.

Nokia executives echoed this optimism. “We’re excited to play a bigger role in the Philippines’ digital transformation,” said Kent Wong, Vice President and Head of IP Networks for Asia Pacific at Nokia. “Our solutions empower data centers like Converge’s to harness AI-driven automation for unmatched reliability, scalability, and performance.”

Designed to handle massive connectivity demands, the Nokia 7220 IXR features fixed-configuration, high-capacity platforms that provide simplicity, flexibility, and sustainability—key elements as data centers scale to meet future needs.

This partnership is a strong signal that Converge is not just preparing for the future — it’s helping to build it.
