Filipino Consumers for Reform (Filcore) has praised the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for launching an online platform to monitor courier services.

The portal, called ‘Oplan Bantay Padala,’ allows the public to report lost, damaged, or undelivered items from paid deliveries.

DICT Secretary Henry Aguda said the initiative helps users identify reliable couriers and ensures complaints are properly addressed.

Aguda added that the platform empowers consumers by showing that their feedback can influence service improvements.

Filcore spokesperson Tracy Cabrera commended the agency for adopting innovative tools to protect consumers from fraud and poor delivery service.

Authorities recently arrested three delivery workers in Antipolo City for allegedly stealing packages, following a company audit and review of CCTV footage.

The case highlights the ongoing need for monitoring systems like ‘Oplan Bantay Padala’ to safeguard public trust in courier services.
