Coca‑Cola and Star Wars team up to ‘Refresh the Galaxy’ — one collectible can at a time

Get ready to crack open a cold one and feel the Force — Coca‑Cola and Star Wars are joining forces for a galactic celebration like no other! This summer, your favorite heroes and villains from a galaxy far, far away are landing right on Coca‑Cola and Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar cans and bottles in a new global campaign that fuses nostalgia, fandom, and fizzy refreshment.

Introducing “Coca‑Cola x Star Wars: Refresh Your Galaxy” — where soda meets saga.

From Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader to Grogu and The Mandalorian, over 30 iconic Star Wars characters and scenes will take center stage in this limited-edition packaging lineup that spans across generations and continents. Whether you’re Team Light Side or embrace the Dark Side (or just really love Chewbacca), there’s a can made just for you.

But this isn’t just about cool cans — it’s about connection. Starting in July, fans across North America, Latin America, Europe, Japan, and the Asia South Pacific can scan QR codes on the collectible packaging to launch an Augmented Reality (AR) experience straight out of the Star Wars universe. You’ll be able to record your own hologram-style transmission and beam positive vibes across the galaxy (or at least across your group chat).

“This isn’t just a collab — it’s a celebration,” said Islam ElDessouky, Coca‑Cola’s Global VP of Creative Strategy & Content. “It’s about joy, fandom, and that universal feeling of connection when we come together for something we love.”

To kick things off, Coca‑Cola dropped an epic cinema-themed commercial, a heartfelt tribute to the place where many of us first heard the hum of a lightsaber or gasped at a galaxy-shaking plot twist. With popcorn in one hand and a Coke in the other, fans are transported back to those unforgettable movie moments — now with some AR magic in the mix.

And it doesn’t stop there. Digital shorts and bite-sized content pieces will continue to blend Coca‑Cola’s classic branding with the timeless storytelling of Star Wars. Think lightsabers meet bubbles, Jedi meets fizzy joy.

“Star Wars is more than just a film series — it’s a cultural phenomenon,” said Mindy Hamilton, SVP of Global Marketing Partnerships at Disney. “This campaign is a love letter to the fans — the people who keep these stories alive.”

The buzz has already started. Influencers and media from around the globe got an exclusive first look at the packaging and experiences during a preview event at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Resort, Anaheim. Safe to say, the Force (and the fizz) is strong with this one.

This collaboration continues the legendary 70-year partnership between Disney and Coca‑Cola — a journey that started with the opening of Disneyland in 1955 and has since spawned everything from Marvel-themed cans to those famous Star Wars orb bottles in 2019.

So what can you collect? Here’s a taste:
