A 37-year-old Filipino man wanted for murder in a 2025 case in Baliwag, Bulacan, surrendered to authorities on May 12, 2026, following the implementation of a warrant of arrest and sustained police monitoring.

Police in Baliwag said a tracker team from the city police station facilitated the surrender after weeks of intelligence work and continuous coordination with the suspect’s family and associates.

Authorities said the suspect was previously being monitored due to alleged ties with a local criminal group operating in parts of Bulacan, which helped lead operatives to his location.

The warrant of arrest was issued by the Regional Trial Court in Malolos, Bulacan, Branch 9, on January 6, 2026, in connection with a killing incident in June 2025. The court did not recommend bail.

Law enforcers said the operation formed part of ongoing efforts to locate individuals with outstanding warrants through intelligence-led policing and field validation work.

PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. praised the unit involved, saying the result highlighted the value of sustained coordination and monitoring in running after wanted persons.

He also urged individuals facing criminal charges to cooperate with authorities, noting that voluntary surrender allowed cases to proceed under proper legal processes without further escalation.

The suspect was turned over to the custody of the Baliwag City Police Station for documentation and processing as part of standard procedures following his surrender.
