Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced Wednesday its acquisition of new ground support equipment aimed at improving efficiency at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminals 2 and 3, as well as other key domestic hubs.
The new equipment includes high-capacity tow tractors, mobile passenger steps, boarding ramps, deck loaders, catering trucks, and electric baggage tractors. These are expected to enhance aircraft turnaround times and overall operational performance.
“As we continue to expand our operations, it is important that we also invest in the right equipment to maintain operational reliability,” said Lei Apostol, CEB vice president for customer service operations. She added that the investment aligns with the airline’s goal to offer safe, reliable, and seamless travel experiences.
The acquisition is part of Cebu Pacific’s broader strategy to support its long-term growth and uphold high standards in safety and customer service.
CEB currently operates flights to 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
