Minimum wage earners in CALABARZON will receive a daily salary increase of up to Php 45 beginning October 26, 2026, following the approval of a new wage order by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) IV-A.
The adjustment is equivalent to an additional Php 1,170 per month for workers receiving the maximum increase and working 26 days a month.
The wage increase will cover eligible minimum wage earners in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon, with adjustments varying depending on industry classifications and the location of establishments.
The new rates were approved through the regional tripartite wage-setting mechanism involving representatives from labor, employers and the government.
Under Wage Order No. IVA-23, the revised daily minimum wages will take effect on October 26, with specific rates determined by the applicable sector and municipal classification.
The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) said more than 1.56 million minimum wage earners across CALABARZON are expected to benefit from the adjustment.
The wage board approved the increase after reviewing prevailing socioeconomic conditions in the region, in accordance with Republic Act No. 6727, or the Wage Rationalization Act.
Employers covered by the new wage order are expected to implement the adjusted minimum wage rates upon its effectivity.
