A new heist is brewing at Warner Bros., and this time it’s drenched in vintage glamour. Bradley Cooper is set to join Margot Robbie in the upcoming Ocean’s prequel — a reimagined caper that will rewind the clock to the swinging sixties.
The film, still under wraps, will be helmed by Twisters and Minari director Lee Isaac Chung, with Robbie producing through her LuckyChap banner. Penned by Carrie Solomon, the project promises to return to the suave, high-stakes charm that made the original Ocean’s Eleven franchise a pop-culture phenomenon — but with a European flair.
First announced in 2022, the film is described as a fresh take on the Ocean’s formula, following a new crew of con artists in the golden age of glamour and espionage. While plot details remain secret, industry insiders suggest it will mix romance, wit, and elaborate deception — hallmarks of the series that has grossed over $1.4 billion worldwide.
Cooper’s addition marks another powerhouse pairing for Robbie, whose star continues to soar after the global success of Barbie. The duo’s chemistry is already sparking anticipation, especially with reports that the tone will be equal parts To Catch a Thief and Ocean’s Eleven — stylish, sexy, and effortlessly cool.
Meanwhile, the Ocean’s universe is expanding fast: George Clooney and Brad Pitt are reportedly reuniting for Ocean’s 14, directed by The Fall Guy filmmaker David Leitch.
As for Cooper, represented by Range Media, he’ll soon appear in Is This Thing On? — a Searchlight Pictures feature he also directed — before slipping into his tux for this high-stakes, retro-heist adventure.
Get ready — the con is back on, and it’s going vintage.
