Blackpink’s Jennie reveals plans for solo album in 2025

Jennie of Blackpink has announced plans to release a solo album next year, promising a collection of “life-reflecting” songs.

The K-pop star shared the news in a “Happy Holidays” video posted on the website of her agency, OA Entertainment, on Christmas Eve.

“I now have satisfactory results from 11 months of work,” she said. “The upcoming album introduces completely new sounds and is like a buffet for everyone, exploring various genres.”

Describing the album as a musical reflection of a significant chapter in her life, Jennie expressed hope that her fans would feel a deeper connection with her through the songs. “I hope my fans feel closer to me when they listen to the songs,” she said.

Jennie also reflected on 2024, a year she described as bringing “a lot of changes” for her, especially following the release of her single “Matra.” The track, she said, has been instrumental in her personal and artistic growth.
