The smart home is getting a serious upgrade, and this time the technology isn’t just about connected lights, cameras or speakers.
Xiaomi is bringing its expanding smart-home ecosystem deeper into Filipino households with a new lineup that pairs immersive big-screen entertainment with washing machines designed to make one of life’s most repetitive chores easier.
The latest releases include the Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2026 Series, with screen sizes stretching from 55 inches to a massive 98 inches, alongside the Mijia Front Load Washer 9KG and Mijia Top Load Washer 13KG.
While they serve very different parts of the house, the products share a common idea: use connected technology to make everyday living more convenient.
Movie night just got much bigger
For households dreaming of a cinema-like setup without leaving home, the TV S Mini LED 2026 Series brings some serious screen real estate.
The range starts at 55 inches and climbs through 65-, 75- and 85-inch models before topping out with a gigantic 98-inch version.
Behind those screens is QD-Mini LED technology designed to deliver deeper blacks, vivid colors and stronger contrast. The TVs can reach peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits and reproduce 94 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut with support for 1.07 billion colors.
Gamers also get plenty to play with.
The 55-, 65- and 75-inch versions offer a 120Hz Game Boost mode, while the 85- and 98-inch models step up to native 144Hz refresh rates and Game Boost of up to 288Hz. Variable Refresh Rate support is included for smoother gameplay during fast-moving action.
HDR10+, HLG and Filmmaker Mode are supported across the lineup, with Dolby Vision available on the larger models.
Audio is handled by dual 15W speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS on the 55- to 75-inch variants. The 85- and 98-inch models add Dolby Atmos for a more multidimensional sound experience.
Google TV sits at the center of the entertainment experience, bringing access to Google Assistant and Chromecast. Apple AirPlay support also allows compatible devices to stream or mirror content directly to the television.
And despite their imposing screen sizes, ultra-thin bezels and screen-to-body ratios reaching 98 percent give the TVs a cleaner, more minimalist appearance.
Laundry day gets less complicated
The technology upgrade doesn’t stop when you leave the living room.
Xiaomi is also expanding its Mijia appliance lineup with two connected washing machines aimed at households looking for more convenience on laundry day.
The Mijia Front Load Washer 9KG features a 525mm drum and steam washing that can deliver up to 99.99-percent bacteria removal under tested conditions.
A colorful touch panel provides straightforward controls, while an inverter BLDC motor is designed for quieter operation, durability and better energy efficiency.
With a 9-kilogram capacity and maximum spin speed of 1,200 rpm, the washer is built to handle larger everyday loads.
It can also connect to the Xiaomi Home app, giving users another way to manage their washing from compatible smart devices.
Got a mountain of clothes? There’s a 13kg option
Bigger households may find the Mijia Top Load Washer 13KG more appealing.
Its 13-kilogram capacity means more clothes can be tackled in a single cycle, potentially cutting down the number of loads needed on busy laundry days.
The washer features four-stage 3D water flow for improved washing performance and a Tide Mite-Removal Wash that can achieve up to 100-percent mite removal under controlled laboratory conditions.
For smaller loads or last-minute clothing emergencies, there’s a 20-minute quick-wash option.
Other features include tub cleaning, fabric-softener support and fragrance care.
The machine also connects to the Xiaomi Home app and offers 24-hour smart reservation, allowing households to schedule washing around their routines. Google Assistant compatibility adds hands-free control to the mix.
One home, more connected appliances
The latest releases show just how far the smart-home concept has moved beyond novelty gadgets.
A television can now double as a connected entertainment center capable of handling streaming, casting and gaming, while a washing machine can be scheduled and managed through a smartphone.
For consumers, the appeal isn’t necessarily having technology everywhere. It’s having technology that can make ordinary routines simpler.
And whether that’s enjoying a blockbuster on a nearly wall-sized screen or getting a head start on the laundry from your phone, connected appliances are becoming a bigger part of everyday home life.
Here’s what they cost
The Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2026 Series starts at ₱39,990 for the 55-inch model, while the 65-inch is priced at ₱51,990 and the 75-inch at ₱64,990.
