The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said it has not monitored any recent international travel by Senator Ronald Dela Rosa as authorities continue efforts to locate him.

Immigration spokesperson Dana Sandoval said checks across the country’s airports and seaports showed no departure or arrival entries linked to the senator.

She explained that the agency’s monitoring covered international gateways, including major airports and seaports such as those in Mindanao.

Sandoval clarified that coastal and bay areas were outside the bureau’s jurisdiction, noting these zones were being watched by local government units, the Philippine Coast Guard and the police.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) earlier said Dela Rosa remains in the country as authorities prepared to implement an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.

The senator has been placed under an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO), which allows authorities to track his movements and alert agencies if he attempts to leave the Philippines.

Justice officials previously said law enforcers had been instructed to arrest Dela Rosa should he try to depart, stressing that evading the process would undermine accountability.

The ICC issued a warrant against Dela Rosa over alleged crimes against humanity tied to killings during the anti-drug campaign, with the tribunal listing him among those at large even as his camp maintains the order is not enforceable locally.
