Bangladesh condemned the latest Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia on Tuesday and reaffirmed its support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty and security.
The Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry said Dhaka opposed violence directed at civilians and civilian infrastructure and expressed solidarity with the Saudi government and people.
Bangladesh also reiterated its backing for Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity as the Kingdom dealt with the aftermath of the strikes.
Saudi authorities said the attacks hit Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jizan and Najran in the south of the country.
At least 73 civilians were injured, including women and children, according to Saudi officials.
The strikes also affected energy infrastructure, with fires reported at some facilities and temporary disruptions to operations.
Bangladesh’s statement came as tensions involving the Houthis and Saudi Arabia intensified following the cross-border attacks.
Dhaka said it remained firmly opposed to actions that threaten civilian safety and regional stability.
