The Banaan Pangasinan Provincial Museum will offer free admission from September 8 to 10 on a first-come, first-served basis as part of its anniversary and Tourism Month celebration.
Marco Sales, tourism operations officer at the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office, said the initiative gives visitors a chance to immerse themselves in Pangasinan’s rich culture and history.
As part of the celebration, the museum will launch a new exhibit on September 8 titled “Dunong Likha,” showcasing Filipino and Pangasinan creativity across various fields. “Dunong,” meaning skills in Pangasinan, and “likha,” meaning creation in Filipino, represent the theme of the exhibit.
Located at the historic Casa Real, the museum houses 11 galleries featuring artifacts, artworks, art installations, and interactive exhibits. Visitors can also learn about significant periods in Pangasinan’s history, including the time of Princess Urduja, the galleon trade, American colonialism, and World War II.
The museum highlights the achievements of notable Pangasinenses such as national artists Fernando Poe Jr., Salvador Bernal, Victorio Edades, and Sionil Jose.
The museum operates from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays. Each 90-minute tour accommodates up to 40 people per batch, with a 30-minute interval before the next group.
