Bicol Police seize PHP22M worth of illegal Drugs, arrest 125 suspects in August

More than PHP22 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated, and 125 drug suspects were arrested in a series of anti-drug operations conducted across the Bicol Region in August, the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) reported Thursday.

PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr. said authorities seized 3,358.337 grams of shabu and 61.1000 grams of marijuana in 155 operations carried out across the region.

The operations led to the arrest of 125 drug violators, including five identified as high-value targets, while 120 were classified as street-level pushers and users.

Camarines Norte recorded the highest value of seized drugs at PHP16.1 million, followed by Camarines Sur with PHP4.8 million. Naga City posted PHP675,694 worth of confiscated drugs, Catanduanes PHP554,200, Albay PHP291,924, Masbate PHP263,840, and Sorsogon PHP48,620.
